Kansas - Windows

Today marks a year that I have been recording my morning songs. I thought that I might learn something about myself but I really haven't. I feel like my brain is a combination sponge/jukebox. I've soaked in all this music over the years and now my brain spits them out at random. Some songs repeat...quite often actually. Today's song has been on the blog at least 3 times. Part of that has to do with where I hear my music. Spotify has been a great way for me to reconnect w/ music I haven't listened to in a while and new music I've never heard. I have played and overplayed some old favorites from the past and they have dominated the blog. (Nik Kershaw, Kansas, Blue Oyster Cult)
Will I keep doing this? I think I will. It doesn't do a thing for me or anyone who's following but it does serve one purpose: getting the song out of my head so I can start my day.

Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes - Time of my Life

This song ties in with a dream but I can't remember what the dream was about. Sorry about the Spanish subtitles. It's the only video I could find w/ no advertising attached to it.

Freedom

I woke up with an original ditty in my head this morning. I was dreaming about a religious, idealistic guy who loses his faith and becomes a hero of sorts (and later, a villain). This dream was steeped in fantasy elements as well as time-travel. The song was running pretty much as a loop when I woke up. The words were: Freedom. Freedom today. Oh, freedom. Carry us away. Brilliant, eh? And, who knows? It might not be an original song. I might have heard it somewhere and it just stuck in my subconscious. Okay, I just Googled it and didn't find anything so I guess I'm safe to say it's mine. Good thing, too. It's gonna win a Grammy some day. Wait and see.
